Powerful Tools For Everyday Stress Reduction

Often, stress will manifest itself when we transport yesterday’s problems into our present day concerns.  An accumulation will almost always end up in higher stress levels.  Therefore, we must be able to clear out all of our concerns from the previous day(s) and concentrate wholly on the present.

Stress Busting Tip #1

Resolve right now to release every negative thought from yesterday and be only mindful of the now…. this thought only...this breath...this moment. Take in three deep breaths and slowly release each one of them.

At the same time, feel each and every concern, problem and/or unresolved moment begin to dissolve. You can deal with them at a later time.  For now, you are only to be in this very moment.

Go to your inner quiet place.  Delve deep inside to that place where you feel that you are at peace with yourself, then just relax and breathe in deeply and enjoy the feeling of being at one and at peace with yourself.

Use this moment to be calm.  Free your mind and body of all worries, regrets, disappointments, all anger and all grief.

Stress Busting Tip #2

Next, think of one specific action, such as rocking your baby, taking a quick walk, raking the leaves, and try to do it.  All the while, your mind should be quiet and calm and you are in your own special place within.

Try to practice this act of quiet and calm every day and you will see that you will accomplish so much more.  At the first sign of being stressed, go back to this mindful and quiet place and start all over again until you have reached your inner place of calm again.

Stress Busting Tip #3

The utmost thing that you can do for yourself is to eat, drink and rest – to your health!

Stress comes more easily when you don’t eat and drink properly.  When you don’t get the number of hours of sleep that you need each night, you are only setting yourself up for additional stress.

Limit the amounts of salt, sugar, caffeine and alcohol in your diet. Drink plenty of mineral water every day and do at least moderate exercise each day.  This will breathe new life into your skin, hair and will revitalize all of your vital organs.

Take the time to breathe properly!  Take deep belly breaths! By doing so, you will send pure oxygen through all of your body.
Laugh and laugh some more.  Laughter is like food for the soul!  Spend time doing the things that make you happy.  Engage in healthy and fulfilling relationships and work on problems that might be preventing the closeness that you have with someone special.

When we are content and living a balanced life, stressful elements will begin to pale. You will therefore be better equipped to deal with the unexpected.
